Life can be complicated, overwhelming, and sometimes lonely, but you don’t have to navigate it on your own. Therapy is a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand yourself in new ways—with more compassion and less judgment. Wherever you are right now, this is a place where we can begin.

MEET JANET

I’m Janet, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Centered Counseling & Coaching LLC.

I have worn many roles throughout my life—mother, daughter, teacher, friend, partner, and clinician—and each has shaped the way I connect with and care for others. These experiences influence how I sit with people in my work: with compassion, honesty, and respect for the complexity of their stories.

My professional path began in the medical field, supporting individuals navigating chronic illness, limited resources, and end-of-life care. I later spent many years in the mental health system working with individuals in crisis, focusing on education, empowerment, and helping people access their own capacity for change.

Over time, both my clinical work and my own personal healing journey deepened my understanding of the mind–body–spirit connection. I believe healing is rarely linear and not meant to be done alone. Much of my work centers around creating space for people to explore their experiences, make meaning of their stories, and reconnect with themselves in a more compassionate way.
It is truly an honor to be invited into people’s lives and stories, and I approach this work with intention, respect, and care.

MY APPROACH

My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and mindfulness-based practices, tailoring therapy to each person’s needs and goals.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship stress, life transitions, chronic illness, trauma, and adoption-related experiences. My work focuses on helping people understand patterns, build resilience, and develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and not alone in whatever you are carrying.

Educational and growth-focused workshops designed to support self-understanding, emotional wellness, and personal development.
